Malviya National Institute of Technology

The Institute is situated in Malaviya Nagar on Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Jaipur is called the pink-city of India. It beautifully combines tradition & modernity. The city is replete with recreational, social, as well as educational experiences for the students. It has all the facilities and entertainment that a person looks for excellent international brand shops, restaurants, clubs, sports facilities and a thriving cultural scene.

The Institute was established in the year 1963 to fulfill the needs of technical education of the people of Rajasthan as it has 50 seat reserved for the students belong to the state. The institute has been conferred the status of Deemed to be University on June 26, 2002 by Ministry of Human Resource Development and University Grants Commission (UGC).

The Institute has state-of-art infrastructure comprising of the Central Library, Central Computer Centre and Design Centre which are fully accessible to the students and staff of the Institute. The library is fully computerized and runs in an an open access system. The campus has three sectors Instructional Buildings, Central Facilities, Students Hostels, and Staff Colony.

The Institute follows a semester scheme for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The academic performance of a student is graded on a ten-point scale, the letter grades awarded to a student in all the courses (except audit courses) are converted into a semester and cumulative performance index called the Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) respectively.

The Institute has also been selected to participate in the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program of the Government of India and the World Bank.
