Rajasthan Agricultural University

Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University located in Bikaner, was formerly a part of the Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur. It became a separate entity in  1987. It is an Agricultural University in Rajasthan. The University comprises of six colleges, and  two campuses - one 45 km from Jaipur in Jobner and the other in Bikaner.

The University is authorized to provide instruction in Agriculture and Allied Sciences which includes Horticulture, Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Home Science and Agri-Business Management. It has also been authorized in other fields of agricultural learning, which the University may deem fit. It is empowered to maintain academic institutions, dealing with agriculture, veterinary and animal sciences, home science, agri-business management, and the like.

The University provides educational opportunities to the students through its various curricula, and it also facilitates the specialization required to excel in various professional fields. The courses offered by the University are designed to promote over-all development in the students, including their knowledge base and professional skills.

The University has immensely contributed towards the development of Agriculture and Animal husbandry, Home Science and Agricultural Engineering aspects and in improving the general economic conditions of the farmers of the state.
