Rajasthan Ayurved University

Rajasthan Ayurved University (RAU), Jodhpur was established in 2003. The college is the first Ayurved University of Rajasthan and is the second University of it's kind in India. The University was provided the land at Karwar village at Nagaur Road (National Highway 65) on 30th of November 2002 by the Govt. of Rajasthan. The foundation stone of the University was laid down by the then Chief Minister of Rajasthan , Shri Ashok Gehlot on 10 of March 2003. The University has now affiliated all the 44 colleges/institutions of Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy, and about 7000 students are pursuing their UG, PG, Diploma and Doctoral Studies.

Rajasthan is renowned for the traditional inheritance of Ayurved. It has a separate ministry and secretariat for Ayurved. Jodhpur, the biggest city of Rajasthan after Jaipur has now evolved as an educational hub.

University College of Ayurved was established in 2004 in Rajasthan Ayurved University Campus. The college was established as a role model for the affiliated colleges. University Ayurved Nursing Training Centre was established in 2004 as a role model for the affiliated Nursing Colleges. This was aimed to provide the quality Ayurved Nursing Education and providing quality para medical professional in the field of Ayurved. At present University College of Ayurved has its own Hospital with OPD and IPD facilities and a well equipped laboratory and within RAU main campus at Kadwad, Jodhpur.

Hostel rooms are alloted to girls and boys on merit basis. Girls hostel and boys hostel operates with mess and sports facilities. The University is developing its Central Library in Kadwad campus.

Although BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, MD (Ayu.), MD (Homoeo), Ph.D (Ayurveda) and certain Diploma courses are already being conducted through our affiliated colleges, the college have started academic activities like BAMS course in the own campus from 2004 by permission of central government and CCIM.

Campus:

The University's campus is situated at Kadwad, Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Nagaur Highway on over 322 acres of land which is proposed to accommodate Central Administrative Block , Academic Block, Residential Quarters, Sports Complex, etc. The University has its own constituent college of Ayurved, constituent DAN & P training center and Herbal farming center.
