RTU Courses Offered

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) was setup in 2006 by the Rajasthan Government to promote technical education in Rajasthan. The University is located on Kota-Rawatbhata Road which is about 10 Km from Kota Bus Stand and 14 Kms from Kota Railway Station. As many as 135 Engineering Colleges, 35 MCA Colleges, 142 MBA Colleges, 08 M.Tech Colleges and 03 Hotel Management and Catering Institutes, are being affiliated by RTU, Kota.

The University conducts exams for five courses as follows:

1. Pharmacy
2. Engineering
3. Computer Application
4. Management
5. Hotel Management
   
   

Engineering and Pharmacy
For Pharmacy and engineering colleges, the Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy (RPETEAP) is conducted by the University. The exam is for the courses are as mentioned below –

• Bachelor of Engineering
• Bachelor of Architecture
• Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Diploma in Pharmacy

Students taking RTETEAP can gain admission to both Government aided and private technical institutes in the state on the basis of their merits.

Computer Applications
For students who want to pursue career in computer applications, the Rajasthan Technical University conducts the Rajasthan MCA Admission Test (RMCAAT). All government aided and private colleges and institutions accept RMCAAT. There are around 23 Master of Computer Applications colleges and institutions affiliated to the University.

Management
The Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test is conducted by the Rajasthan Technical University for the students who want to pursue career in management and hotel management. There are around 53 MBA colleges and institutes affiliated to the University. Government aided and private colleges and institutions give admission to students on the basis of their merits gained in RMAT. There are around three hotel management institutes affiliated to the University.
