Rajasthan Technical University (RTU)

The Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota was established in 2006 by Government of Rajasthan to promote technical education in the state. As many as 135 Engineering Colleges, 35 MCA Colleges, 142 MBA Colleges, 08 M.Tech Colleges and 03 Hotel Management and Catering Institutes have been affiliated by the University.

The objective of the University is to provide quality technical education in Rajasthan, so as to promote technical development in the country. The University offers a variety of disciplines related to technical education, such as Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and the like.

As more numbers of students are getting into professional and technical careers in the state, the RTU has been proving its importance in imparting quality education. The papers for various entrance examinations conducted by the RTU and accepted by more than 170 colleges and institutions in the state are set keeping in mind the technical and professional needs of present time. RTU Kota conducts RPET, RMAT, and RAMCAAT every year for admitting new students in its various academic programs.  Part time courses are also conducted for employed students and, classes for this type of courses are run on holidays and evenings. Students with Rajasthan domicile are required to appear in Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPETAP), for the purpose of admission. The selection of students from other states is based on the merit list of the All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). Direct admission is granted in second year in the UG courses, for the Diploma holders.

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is situated in Kota in the state of Rajasthan. The University is located on the Rawatbhata Road, about 14 kms from Kota Railway Station and 10 kms from Kota Bus Stand.The University has been established in the campus of University College of Engineering, Kota, which was earlier known as Engineering College, Kota.
