University of Kota is a public university in Kota, Rajasthan, India. The University was founded with the ascent of the Governor of Rajasthan. It was recognized by the UGC in 2003 under the state act.The University has earned reputation as a higher learning institution. It is not funded by UGC.

His Excellency Sh. S.K. Singh, the governor of Rajasthan, is the chancellor of the University. University of Kota has 129 affiliated colleges and autonomous departments.
