RPET 2012 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to “SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer SBC” of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).  

Age Limit: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1982 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education mark sheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

Following mentioned subjects combination is mandatory for admission into B.E. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. / D.Pharm. Courses

B.E.- Bachelor of Engineering
Compulsory Sujects: Physics & Mathematics
Optional Subjects: (1)Chemistry (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology

B. Arch.- Bachelor of Architecture
Compulsory Subjects: Mathematics
Optional Subjects: (1) Chemistry (2) Computer Science (3) Biology (4) Engineering Drawing (5) Physics or any other Subject

B. Pharma. /D. Pharma.
Compulsory Subjects: Physics & Chemistry
Optional Subjects: (1) Mathematics (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology

Note: A Candidate appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply for appearing into RPET 2012 entrance examination, provided he / she will furnish the pass certificates of qualifying examination during the time of admission.

Age: A candidates’ age should not be less than 16 years and more than 23 years on 1st October of the year of RPET Examination. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in case of SC / ST category candidates.
