RPET Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Prior to completing the application form for the RPET, please ensure that you qualify for the eligibility of the private and government-aided technical institutions in Rajasthan except MNIT, Jaipur, BITS, Pilani and other deemed and private Universities.

Education

The minimum educational qualification for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) course is a pass of at least 45 percent marks in the subjects below for the 10+2 exam or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer/SBC non-creamy layer candidates, minimum marks are 40 percent. The exam must be from a recognized board.

Required subject combinations are listed below:

(2) Computer science
(3) Biotechnology
(4) Biology

If the candidate is appearing for his/her 10+2 examinations then admissions will be provisional and only after the successful completion of the exams and meeting of eligibility criteria, will a full admission be made.

Age

Candidates whose birth date is on or later than 1st October 1988 are eligible for the RPET Examinations. SC/ST and PH have a relaxed period of 5 years ie 1st Oct 1983 or later. Only date of birth given on a secondary or senior-secondary level board marksheet will be considered.

Medical fitness

Candidates must pass a medical examination from a medical practitioner. Check the RPET 2013 instructions for further details of required medical fitness.

Domicile criteria

Candidates of Rajasthan domicile are the only eligible candidates. You may be eligible under a particular category, check RPET 2013 instructions for further details.
