RPET 2013 Seat Matrix & Reservations
Seat reservations are subject to prevalent statutory provisions of the state: 12 percent for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, 16 percent for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates, 1 percent for non-creamy layer Special Backward Classes (SBC) candidates and 21 percent for non-creamy layer Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates. Physically handicapped candidates also have a three percent horizontal reservation and dependents of defence killed/ex-servicemen/gallantry award winners have three percent. Women have a horizontal reservation of 25 percent.
Priority for category of defence persons:
EXS1: Killed in action
EXS2: Disabled in action and boarded out from service, died while in service with death attributable to military service or disabled in service and boarded out with disability attributable to military service
EXS3: Gallantry award winners
50 percent of the reserved seats in this category are for women.
From the intake capacity, five percent is reserved for Kashmiri migrants. Children of those displaced from Jammu and Kashmir are eligible for engineering college admission through RPET 2013. A certificate must be submitted as proof of displacement.

Candidates are eligible only if notified under the Presidential order for the State of Rajasthan. A competent authority must submit the necessary certificate.
Creamy layer OBC or creamy layer SBC candidates are not eligible for reservation benefits. These candidates should fill in their application form as general category. The detailed seat matrix will be available prior to counselling.
